Founder & Proprietor

Proprietor Beth Boyes (BHSI, UKCC3) started Quob Stables with just one pony back in 1992. In 1998, Quob Stables moved to its current location in Durley, where it has developed and expanded into the successful equestrian centre it is now, catering for all standards and ages of rider.

Michelle Pack

Yard Manager

Michelle Pack (BHS II) previously worked in London and joined Quob Stables in 2015 as our Yard Manager after moving back to Southampton. Michelle looks after all the horses, trains all the staff and keeps everything running smoothly on a day to day basis.


Jenny Knight

Head Receptionist

Jenny is no stranger to Quob Stables, having learnt to ride here as a child before owning her own horse. Jenny then went on to work at a dressage yard, competing up to Advanced Medium level. Jenny has also worked at well known store Scats before joining our Reception team in 2017.

Kim Hayden

Show Organiser

Kim Hayden is our Show Organiser and responsible for our British Showjumping, British Dressage and unaffiliated shows. She completed her BHSAI many moons ago and is affectionately known in the office as ‘the dressage simulator queen’.


Lily Blakeledge

Full Time Instructor

Lily (BHS Stage 3 Care, ND in Equine Studies) has been riding since she was 4 years old and has experience of working at various stables including the Devils Horseman who own the Lloyds bank horse! She has also competed in showing, show jumping and dressage.


Mollie Mullen


Mollie joined us as an full time apprentice in 2017 after working part time at weekends at Quob Stables. She is working through her BHS exams and now takes private lessons and our weekend ‘Leaders’. She can also be seen schooling our newer and younger horses.


Alex Oldbury- Davies

Horseball Coach

Alex started out as a Pony Clubber here at Quob Stables, and is now our popular horseball coach on Wednesday nights. She starting to playing horseball in 2013, playing for London Reds team in the first division. She also competes in dressage and show jumping in her spare time!


Roland Bellido

Part Time Instructor

Part time instructor, Roland is orginally from Tenerife and worked through his BHS exams at Wellington Riding. He is now a BHSII SC Instructor and able to train those training up to and competing at BD Advanced Medium, BE Intermediate Horse Trials and BS Foxhunter.


Kayleigh Daykin

Part Time Instructor

Kayleigh Daykin (BHS AI, BSc (Hons) Equine Studies, HND Horse Management) is one of our popular part time instructor here. Kayleigh is  fantastic at bringing on a the baby horses at Quob and is often seen schooling and competing as well as teaching.


Roseanne Dyble

Part Time Receptionist

Roseanne has joined our Reception team  after moving to the area to complete her BSc Animal Management with a focus on Equine Performance at Sparsholt College. As well as studying, Roseanne is also hoping to compete her horse in show jumping competitions.


Toni Moore

HR Manager

After starting working outside on the Quob yard, Toni now in the back office- ensuring the HR, holidays and staff contracts run smoothly. She owns Pony Club ponies Holly and Indie, as well as her own ex-racehorse called Nick (pictured) who she competes. Toni has her BHS Stage 2.


Claire Rossiter

Marketing Co-ordinator

Claire started at Quob Stables in 2015, and runs the Quob Stables Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and website. Claire previously worked at Guide Dogs for the Blind and Global Herbs. Claire has ridden since she was three years old, has her BHS Stage 2 and also her own horse, Sandro (pictured).


Lucy Scott


Lucy has ridden since she was 4 years old, and grew up taking part in Pony Club working up to her Pony Club C+ test. She previously worked at the yard where she kept my horses and brought on her ex- racehorse. She also has her Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management.


Briony MacKenzie

Part time Instructor

Briony is a UKCC2 and Stage 4 Teach and SM qualified instuctor as well as a equine physiotherapist and so can often be seen treating the horses here at Quob as well as teaching our BHS Stage courses and private clients. Briony also owns and competes her own horses too.

Here at The HayRack Cafe we are looking for a person with a passion for cooking and baking on a part time basis.

We are a business cafe which makes toasties, sandwiches, salads, paninis, coffee, lunch specials, homemade cakes, flapjacks and much more.

We offer barista style coffees and breakfast/afternoon tea specials

The HayRack Café has a Friendly atmosphere and a small team of 2 people.

Person applying must be adapt at cooking. Barista training is an advantage. However we are Keen to allocate the position to someone with a home style cooking desire to feed all our lovely staff and clients a nice cooked lunch, coffee and cake!

Days are flexible and can be negotiated but will include one weekend day on a rota basis.

Part Time 16 hours. with some holiday cover when needed.
