About Us

Quob Stables started with proprietor Beth Boyes and one pony back in 1992.  The move to Durley in 1998 was to help Quob Stables develop, grow and expand into a successful equestrian centre catering for all standards and ages of rider. We are situated in 50 acres of Hampshire countryside only a short distance from junction 7 on the M27.

In 2022, after 30 years of running the riding school, Beth decided to close the riding school side of the business to concentrate on liveries, coaching riders on their own horses, and competing her own horse.

During her 30-year journey, Beth has competed up to Foxhunter level, achieved her BHSI and also become a BSH Assessor. She is now concentrating on British Dressage, having recently purchased herself a young horse.

Beth can offer assessments for direct entry up to BHS Stage 3, and also specialises in equine business development.

Michelle Pack (BHS II) previously worked in London and joined Quob Stables in 2015 as our Yard Manager after moving back to Southampton to be closer to family. Michelle looks after all the horses, trains all the staff and keeps everything running smoothly on a day to day basis.

I’m Amelia and I’m a part time groom at Quob Stables. I started working here in June 2023 and have my 2 horses on livery here as well. I previously worked in Polo, and in my free time I enjoy showjumping and producing my young horse.

I’m Georgia, I started working at Quob Stables in January 2022 when it was open as a riding school and I am currently Head Girl since changing it’s change to a livery and competition yard. Before moving back here to my home town, I  previously worked for 6 and a half years with racehorses in Lambourn for trainer Sylvester Kirk.

I’m Steph, I started at Quob Stables as a livery then progressed to working here as the show secretary. In my free time (not that I have much with my many animals) I enjoy spending time at the yard with my horse Henry.

Hi my name Erica, I work as a groom at Quob Stables. I started working here in June 2023. I went to Sparsholt College and completed my Level 2 and Level 3 in horse and stable management. I enjoy riding and expanding my knowledge with horses.

Hi, my names Molly and I have worked at Quob Stables since February 2023. I’m only 16 so currently I just work Saturdays and over the school holidays when I can. I rode at Quob when it was a riding school from when I was very young until when it closed and love being back to work here now as everyone is so nice. I love riding the horses and especially love showjumping and hope to do some showjumping competitions in the future.
